The Graveyard

Enter the summer graveyard…where the shifts are from sun up to sun down and the Tombstones are colorful. Stocked up, with more to come…swing by and pick your color like a kid in a candy shop.
Enjoy.

Barry McGee x Prism

The Prism Gallery in Hollywood just recently held the opening reception for the newest installment by artist Barry McGee. Stemming from the Mission School movement out of San Francisco, Barry's work evolved from the streets as a writer under the monikers of "Twist", "Twisto", "Ray Fong", and others, and into fine art galleries, helping to bridge the gap between street art and the "lowbrow" movement and the fine art world. Here's a few shots from the show, in case you missed.
Enjoy.

Babe Wednesday

Checking Wet Sand just took on a whole new meaning…

Enjoy.

Matty Z

Matty Z came in to pick up his new Ruby shaped strange hull. This thing is weird indeed. 9'0 x 18" x 22" x 16 1/2" x 2 7/8" and not a single hard edge anywhere. Los Doho Locos are probably all sortas strange on it as we speak…

Stay tuned for visual evidence.

Clearly that hat says "I handle sh*t."

Gold Label stamp of approval

Even Mr. Casica stopped by to give her a rub down, needless to say he was pleased.

Gold Label: Single Fin

Ruby just recently got his new single fin (back when our boy Andrew Jimenez stopped by for a little photo sesh) in from the glass shop and couldn't be more stoked. Nice and heavy, 8oz top and bottom with an 8oz deck patch and fin patch, this puppy flies down the line and has just enough hold to really crank a solid turn. Come by and check her out, it's right about time to be thinkin' about a new summer board anyhow…

Check out the single fin on our online store here.

M C A

Today, Adam Yauch of The Beastie Boys, a.k.a. MCA, lost his three year battle with cancer. The Beastie Boys, who launched into the spotlight with "Fight For Your Right (To Party)" and their debut album "Licensed to Ill", went on to become one of the most influential hip-hop groups throughout the 90's.

R.I.P. MCA.

Super Grom

Super grom Kalani David, newly crowned ISA World Jr. Champ, swung by the shop after his win and caught a surf with Dan. Kalani started frothing over the I <3 80's thrusters and nabbed one for their shred sesh that evening. As is only proper, Ruby hooked him up with a proper 80's paint job for that proper 80's thruster. Grom was so eager to surf he started peelin' up the paint before it was dry! Congrats Kalani!

Babe Wednesday

Kate Upton's Cat Daddy dance is all over the news, but we don't wanna put that kinda stuff on our classy site, right? Enjoy.

Fog City

Sorry for the delay folks, we took a little vacation to the City by the Bay. We didn't get too much surf in, but damn if everything under the sun isn't packed into that little peninsula. We also made a detour through Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, home of the beast from hell itself, Mavericks, on the way home. Here's a little photo album from the adventure. Enjoy.
